MDG-F program to improve water access for 240,000 residents of BiH

Yuri Afanasiev, UN Resident Coordinator, Mladen Zirojević, BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and representatives of 13 partner municipalities signed Memorandums of Understanding for the implementation of the project called “Securing Access to Water through Institutional Development and Infrastructure”, with approximate value of 4.45 million USD.

MDG-F Culture for Development and British Council signed MoU

Yuri Afanasiev, Resident Coordinator of UN to BiH and Michael Moore, Director of the British Council Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a Memorandum of Understanding under the umbrella of MDG-F Programme Culture for Development. The memorandum outlines a set of programmatic activities under the Intercultural Navigator’s training methodology developed by the British Council and jointly implemented by the two parties in order to train local stakeholders, representatives of local, entity and state authorities and civil society on a variety of skills ranging from leadership to conflict management in multicultural environment.

Culture for Development supports production of a film on MDGs

The MDG-F Progamme will support production of one film and workshops that will be held within the Sarajevo Talent Campus. Workshops will focus on problems addressed by MDGs.

MDG-F Democratic Economic Governance held Inception Workshop in Neum

More than sixty representatives of all administrative levels countrywide gathered at the Inception Workshop of MDG-F Democratic Economic Governance Programme “Securing Access to Water through Institutional Development and Infrastructure” held in Neum from 25-27 May.

"EU Culture Program 2007-2013" Introduced to Culture Workers in BiH

MDG-F Programme Culture for Development and Ministry of Civil Affairs in BiH in cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary and Hungarian International Development Agency (HUN-IDA) organized seminars on EU Culture Program 2007-2013 in Prijedor, Tuzla and Mostar in the period from 7-11 June 2010. The seminars were attended by 78 participants from cultural institutions (ministries, museums, theaters, libraries etc.) as well from the civil society organizations (Roma NGOs, Foundations, etc.).

Capacities Building for Cultural Operators Workshop

The MDG-F Programme Culture for Development held the workshop “Capacities Building for Cultural Operators” in Sarajevo at Joint Institutions Building in the period May 18 – 20, 2010.

MDG-F Democratic Economic Governance of Water Access Selects Partner Municipalities

The selection of partner municipalities to participate in the MDG-F Programme Democratic Economic Governance of Water Access has been finalized at the meeting of the Programme’s Management Committee at May 11, 2010 in Sarajevo.
