MDG-F Culture for Development and British Council signed MoU

“Improving interculturalism and enabling people to embrace and promote cultural diversity is at the core of the MDG-F Programme. British Council’s Intercultural Navigators training helps development of leadership skills and intercultural competencies which allow participants from all administrative levels to make an impact”, said Yuri Afanasiev, Resident Coordinator of UN.

“The demand in BIH for more people-to-people contact to share knowledge and ideas is widespread; this MDG-F - British Council partnership responds to communities seeking better respect and appreciation of a collective cultural past and present. Our Intercultural Navigators programme helps these communities widen and deepen their ‘circles of trust’ by providing specific soft leadership skills in a powerful and relevant way.” said Michael Moore, Director of British Council.

The Programme Culture for Development is a three-year programme that is being implemented in partnership of three UN Agencies: UNDP, UNICEF and UNESCO, in cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, Ministry of Culture and Sports of FBiH, Ministry of Education and Culture of RS, as well as other institutions working in the area of education and culture.
