Jobs for youth: alternatives to migration

The Philippines has one of the highest youth unemployment rates, with young people representing half of the nation's jobless. A high secondary school drop-out rate and lack of sellable skills is forcing many young FIlipinos to migrate in search of work. Now a joint UN program funded by the MDG-F is helping FIlipinos find sustainable jobs at home by improving access to education, providing skills training and easing their entry into the job market.
