Brazil, India, South Africa fund to aid South Sudan

February 14 - Sudan is the latest African country set to benefit from an ambitious multimillion dollar development aid programme initiated by South Africa as part of the India-Brazil-SA (Ibsa) forum.


The announcement was made last week in New York at a ministerial meeting of all three countries to discuss and draw up a plan of co-operation as nonpermanent members of the United Nations (UN) Security Council. The forum was created in 2004 by India, Brazil and South Africa as a platform to co-operate on foreign policy issues.
