"Waste today will be thirst tomorrow."



Authorities warn that Ecuador wastes between 30 and 40 percent of its water. According to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), people need about 150 liters of water daily to meet their basic needs; residents of Quito use 240 liters per day.
