Giving indigenous women a voice
The joint UN program promotes the participation of indigenous people in public councils and national committees. It focuses particularly on women, like Regina Zelia Benites, a Kaiowá on the governing committee of Jaguapiru in the Dourados reserve, home to some 15,000 Indians.
