Cricket for Change in Serbia

Street cricket brings fun and the chance for cross-cultural communication to Serbian, Albanian and Roma children in South Serbia's multi-ethnic town of Bujanovic.

The town's first-ever game of Street20 Cricket -- a simplified form of the sport designed to be played in urban environments -- was part of an MDG-F-backed joint programme to reduce conflict and build peace in southern Serbia, the poorest part of the country. The game was also supported by the British Embassy, TransConflict and Cricket for Change, a UK-based NGO.
