Honduras: "Taking care of the water is everyone's responsibility"

After failed attempts to engage local farmers to reduce agricultural pollution into their primary drinking water source, three communities in Lempira Province in Honduras, came together and purchased a part of the ‘La Pandura’ watershed. Supported by the mayor, community colleges and the MDG-F's Joint Programme, the communities were able to improve the quality of the drinking water in the villages. This man is hanging a sign in the watershed that reads: "Taking care of the water is everyone's responsibility."
