Life free of violence

Summary

This document collects different programmes and tools implemented in five countries, the successful outcomes of which are worth sharing to put an end to gender violence. The document discusses five programmes conducted in Bangladesh, Colombia, Morocco, Timor-Leste and Viet Nam, under the Women’s Gender Equality and Empowerment window. Each of them shows the programme and its goals, the country's baseline concerning gender violence, the strategies used, ranging from using the media and advertisement campaigns to the development of studies to increase awareness and understanding of this issue. The document also presents results, lessons learned and existing challenges. Finally, a section is devoted to the sustainability of the strategy and its potential to be replicated elsewhere
